Please read this OpenSearch spec for a possible use case API for 3D
Rest, especially for downloading everything in a virtual world scene
(geo search).

It has a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 License.

A couple of things I think they should have added to the opensearch
geo extension were time (various ways of searching time) and altitude
(again, various ways of searching altitude). I don't have specific
use cases for this, so please ignore if you like. But if you use
opensearch geo as it stands, it's rather 2D'ish, so getting into time
and/or altitude would give us 3D or 4D capabilities. It's a good
starting point, but not satisfactory for 3D Rest.

Are we limiting ourselves specifically to 3D?
