I’ve been asked to provide some suggestions to my company for 3D printers. I have been doing all their design and printing on my personal 3D printers and they have decided to by their own one for me to use at work.

I don’t want to suggest the run of the mill hobby level printer I have at home. I have so far suggested we look at a more commercial unit. The one one unit I am looking at is the Creatbot F430. This machine is the spec of what we are looking at.

FDM machine with build size of at least 300x300x300 with the capability to print engineering plastics like PEEK, Polycarbonate, Nylon .

Does anyone have any experience with this printer?

I took a look. It looks expensive… but I notice there’s no description of the kinematic method. Nor pics. These days its coreXY or you’re  buying an out of date design… unless of course the company brings a lot more to the table, such as the higher end Markforged which uses lasers to verify all aspects of the print quality on the fly and can include fiber within the print.
Also don’t expect to get reliability using those dual extruders. Dual extruders were never what they were cracked up to be.

Unless, of course  - you have an Essentium based IDEX.

Heck - what Jannie left out is the budget the co. is looking to expend on an IDEX based printer - since that is a VERY Important Factor!!!

Budget s about $3000 but that is not set in stone.

It looks like a Core XY. In the manual they state something about Motion Structures being Optic Axis. I have not heard that term before. It looks like may be able to get it as a single extruder unit.

The motion system runs on industrial linear rails.

I was also looking at the Funmat HT printer, but it seems to have an older Ultimaker style motion system. Otherwise very similar specs.

But I’m still open to suggestions. However it needs to be commercially available in New Zealand with good after sale service. Just in case I’m no longer operating the machine and the company requires some technical assistance.

Maybe a Daedalus with enclosure add-on? Would be able to get informed support from them I believe. Or do you mean onsite? If so, you should limit to vendors that you can find in NZ.

Ferrari is as protective of their brand as Disney. They should expect a nasty letter someday. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_F430
