Help for a newbie.

I am pretty new to coding and the software used to make firmware so I have a feeling I am doing something that is causing this error.  I have a davinci 2.0a duo and wanted to upgrade to repetier firmware.  I downloaded all the driver and software needed to flash the firmware on the due board and had repetier host ready to go.  After the upload from the Arduino  the printer registers as repetier .92 with 2 extruders and I can even see fluctuations in real time temp but the keypad and screen dont work.  I just have black bars and no sound or input from the keypad.  I have tried a few different things like changing the feature controller and making sure the firmware matches.  Any help would be appreciated

Gotta say - that's a bit of a Deep Tech question - especially for a Newbie!

Am curious to know why you want to upgrade the firmware. Also, I know of the Davinci machines. Not sure of this particular model. Is it an Older machine - and that's why you want to upgrade the firmware? Any chance you can Roll back your change - to put the machine at the prior state - before the machine got Bricked?

I'm a serious programmer guy - but, not with things like Firmware. Also - you may get better responses if you made a subject line that was more specific  - like, Davinci Firmware Upgrade Issues. Just putting Help & Newbie - might not get enough eyeballs on your issue. 

Also, have you searched this forum for "Davinci" - to see if you get much Hits? How about Web searches? Nowadays - even Google will put a more AI response at the top of searches - which tends to be WAY More helpful. Or, use Copilot and ask your question. Keep in mind - these days - AI is a part of many of the Search engines. And, if you use the AI feature - you could literally copy the text from this posting and give it to AI - and you MAY Potentially get a VERY Helpful reply!!!

I will re word the post for better hits because I would really l like to get this printer back to printing. The reason I am updating the firmware is because davinci used like a master spool approach and the new firmware allows for use of third party filaments.

Understood re: need to upgrade firmware. I'm assuming your printer is supposed to be multicolor printing?
