Check this out from Stefan of CNC Kitchen.  You can take any bump map (grey scale image) and use it to texture the surface of an STL file:

that def more advanced than the one I am hosting.  I am in the 3D pottery tools Facebook group, and one of the admins built the backend for a texture roller: you feed it the image and set the sizes.  https://www.3dpotterytools.com/ This offers seamless rollers, which are quite good.  The CNC kitchen is also superbly neat. I added some images that I made to the texture.

Hey there Kyle,

I'm VERY Surprised to see your postings this morning - since you have MY Last name - AND you have the Middle name of my son! Interesting indeed!

Glad to see you joined the group here!!!

And, I have to say - Wow - I was impressed - going to that webpage and interacting with the demo cube and trying out the various textures - it's pretty darn SWEET!

I also just started watching the video where Stefan actually explains all the downsides to competing tools - including one that is barely ever used anymore, or the Super Expensive Materialise version. I was also VERY Intrigued - as Stefan mentioned he used Agentic AI to create the tool - and in the video - I can see he used Claude AI - which is SUPER Cool - since that is what I use, Constantly at work - on an almost daily basis.

I'm halfway thru the video - it really does look like a VERY Powerful tool. Honestly, I may try to reach out to Stefan directly and pick his brains a little about this tool.

Anyway - thanks again Kyle for making this posting!!!

-Kurt
