PrusaSlicer profile for SeeMeCNC BossDelta 300 or Artemis?

I'm so frustrated with this BossDelta 300.

I've tweaked and messed with the profiles to the point that I'm just going to have to scrap it and start from the beginning. I've even removed the Y-splitter (joiner) and routed the Bowden tube (700mm!) straight into the print head. (The Y-splitter/joiner just introduced way too much slop in the filament feed and you can only retract/detract so fast.)

SeeMeCNC support is nonexistent. There's an almost-zombie Facebook group for support. There, you can find a 2019 user-submitted PrusaSlicer profile for PLA only. Even the company's Cura profile is for v4.2.

I'm torn between spending the time to get this thing to print like it's mechanically capable of and tearing it down for parts. The temptation to install a small, light, modern direct drive extruder right on the tool head is strong, but so it the urge to cut my losses and walk away.

I feel your pain. I have a FLSun v400 delta. I love to watch it do its thing. It works ok on small prints, but anything large and the bed compensation just isnt there. Sitting in the garage idle since i got my Bambu printers.

Also the size footprint for the output is hard to justify if one is struggling for space.

Interesting they have Bowdens. I was thinking this would be a good way to get a 3 nozzle working on the v400. Take the direct drive off an have 3 nozzle rotating like a lab microscope mechanism.

Wow the BossDelta500 is a Boss indeed.

How many mesh points are you using on your V400? The default is rather low,  I increased mine to 13 x 13. I've printed stuff that filled the bed on it.

Jody - you say it's not direct drive - which I have seen with Deltas. But, I've also seen a kinda flying motor floating above the print head (like via rubber band type units). So - I'm curious to know what yours is like. Is the bowden filament driving unit FAR from the print head??? I'd Love to see a pic of your setup.

Ah - Cool - thanks for the Pic Jody!!!!

Interesting 3DP design. Didn't expect the filament motors in those locations. But, interesting indeed. 

You should Mod it to do like what I was describing - so - just ONE extruder motor feeding the print head - but, "Floating" above the print head. Look online to see what I describe. I think it MIGHT potentially make for and interesting Mod to your printer...

I think i did increase it after a while. Stopped nozzle out for Microswiss CM2. That made hell of a difference.

I am perhaps a bit tainted by the negativity on the FLSun discord. I was able to print some pretty nice stuff. These dovetail planks in the puzzle box being an example. Covered most of the bed and I think i pushed the speed. So yes i think overall a good machine.
