FYI MicroCenter now stocks the U1, $950, which I believe is the same price it will increase to on April 10th buying from SnapMaker directly.

Looking at the Snapmaker web site, it seems that the price is only going up to $899 on April 10. I guess though, if you buy from a physical Microcenter store you aren't paying shipping, so that works out about the same.

I would think the competition is starting to build. I'm sure that $950 plus shipping seemed like a good price when the only competitors were a $3K Prusa XL, a $2K Bambu H2C, and the upcoming Prusa One INDX, which is surely going to be probably close to $2K. Now there is a four tool, tool changer competitor in the Flashforge Creator 5 which is around the same price (the Creator 5 will be cheaper, and the Creator 5 Pro will likely be more expensive), that math might have changed. People will certainly be closely comparing features, and considering more closely bang for buck.

Got mine here in the UK from Prima3D. £799. Which would be $1056 at todays exchange.

One thing I think you missed during the recent episode was scarf joints in the seams.  Enabling scarf joints almost makes my seam vanish and makes post processing much easier.  I know this setting exists in Orca Slicer and Bambu Studio, not sure if it made it back to Prusa Slicer yet.
