Here is a comparison between my first prototype and version 4. Numbers 2, and 3 didn't survive for pics.

That is correct.  Ver2 and 3 were just larger versions of #1. #4 is a radical design change. It has been a fun project.  Previous versions were printed in pla. V4 is pctg. It's also strange that I was having 1st, and 2nd layer issues.  I went with a .28 layer height. It saves about 8 hours print time. I probably should have used the archane engine instead of the standard slicer engine.

Think about using a whopping big nozzle and printing it in Vase mode. If there's no internal structure, that would be much faster.

That's a good idea Scott!

Yeah - When I push to do things BIG - I have to push the Slicer - and do a LOT of Tricks - so things don't take MASSIVE hours just to get printed.

I will admit - in ALL the Years of my own printing on Hobby Level machines - I have Never Ever used a Bigger nozzle - like a 0.6 or 0.8mm. I really, REALLY Would love to experiment with that. Sadly - the newest machines - the Centauri & SnapMaker - I do NOT believe it's an option anymore to simply swap a nozzle tip to a bigger size. I know for Sure that it's not possible with the U1. But, the Centuari - I don't know - maybe it is...

Will admit - I just have a Funny thought - which is - for David's project - it OBVIOUSLY does NOT matter if the Printed part is Water Tight! For Obvious reasons...

I hope to have a .8 CC1 soon. I have the hot end ( 2 in fact, always keep a spare ) That seems to be as big as you can go on a CC. I just need to get my new lighter shrouds printed in abs-gf.

Years ago I reamed out a nozzel to 1.0. The prints I did in translucent petg were amazing! I will have to see if I can find any.
