Was googing trying to find or rember what was the best way to ask Andy a question directly since I was having a hard time finding where he says it in one of the podcasts about direct email (maybe I just imagined it) or my dyslexic self just mashed up info @ 3d printing today atipis and tricks into me thinking it was a real thing. But could not for the life of me figure it out.

So that brings up a few point I've been meaning on asking.

Anyway we get or do a different form than this one as it's not organized and if looking for something specific you have to use the search function as long as your not on mobile?

Web page with info and links to here and podcast episodes?

Discord page maybe ? (I dont use it every much personally but I know a ton of people that do) ?         (Honesty would probably actually use it for this podcast and group)

Is there a way to contact Andy directly? I wanted to know if he would be interested in testing one of my spare k1 printers since I really love the reviews of the prusa xl and the x1c and want to see how other like competing tech stands up since I dont have thoes.

If none is possible or just dumb what about making some pinned broud topic threads at the top of the group page?
      I have no idea if theres a reason not to or not. But was thinking of like;
General info?
Tips and tricks?
Favorite parts of episodes & feedback?
Classifieds?
Software?
New tech?
Emergency help me I've destroyed my printer/project?
Meet-ups and events?

Idk on some of these but really like the group and community that we have here but hate using Google groups on mobile because well it's just kinda terrible and maybe im just using it wrong but even to make this with out being at my computer im just using desktop mode... and with liking what we have so much and hating the group interface just thinking of ideas to want to be more involved and up to date with the group.

Yes I know I could just go on one of my computers but im at a comulputer a lot for work so unless im dedicating time to printing or gaming I dont go on my pc much. Idk maybe im cracy sorry for the rant / rambling.

Anyone else have input or am I using the group wrong or is there an app?

A Couple quick answers for you:
  1.  At end of podcasts - they DO Indeed tell you the direct email address for the podcast.
  2.  It's been discussed before - and suggested about using other platforms - but, it's not going to change, even though - yes - others also have issues with some of the Google Groups interactions - especially via Cell phone interactions.
  3.  I suspect that Andy may potentially be willing to try your K1 printer. And, he's generally quite responsive here on the forum - and you WILL get a reply from him. But, I do believe he's currently taking some time off, as is Whitney - and new podcast episodes are on a little bit of a hiatus - as he mentioned recently in a posting - and posting an Old episode of the podcast.
  4.  If you go on a computer a LOT at Work - why not login to GG from work - and do interactions - like during your lunch breaks. It's just a thought...

I will also personally reach out directly to Andy for you.

Also - in regards to your comment of - " Favorite parts of episodes & feedback?"

If you have not already listened to Ep. #507 - it's one of my Favorites - especially the middle segment about StrataSys end-of-support, since Andy made some rather humorous comments about me - and even Whitney had me seriously chuckling!

1. Go figure it is at the end must have just skipped over it when I was listening to it over and over again 😆 🤣 typical.

2/3. Figured as much

4. Adhd and crunch time at work end of year projects are coming due and im behind on our big project atm. And Don't take brakes at work so I can leave earlier since I work 10 hr days and live 50 miles away from work 🙃 (easy drive though but if I leave later in the day it adds like 20-30 to my drive)

Wow Nathan - DANG - Gotta say - your life sounds like it SUCKS - to be behind at work - and doing 10 hour days - and driving 50miles to work - that is INSANE!

When I was last working in Manhattan - and living on Long Island - I had a 4.5 hour round trip commute - I worked almost Exactly 8 hour day every day - but, it was a 12.5 hour day with the commute - like exactly. Still - I would HATE to do LONG Drives for a commute, since, at the end of long days - if one was Tired - it would make a long commute not only Miserable - but, Dangerous - should one fall asleep! My drive part of my commute was literally TWO Minutes each day - cause the place where I lived was a 2 min. drive from the train station!

So - sorry for the tad bit of humor - but, yeah - sounds like you have it Way Rough in your life - for long hours of work - no break times - and long commutes! Ugh...

Ehh it really isn't that bad just behind on the big project because the help we where told that was going to happen from the department that should actually be doing it never came and now me an a co worker that came from that department are just doing it now to "help" lmao 🤣 😂  but my drive is not as bad as his.... he drives 1.5 hrs each way to work thinknlike 95miles each way or something my drive is at least all highway at like 70ish (more like 80 tho) so it's only a 40-45 min drive most of the time literally only 2or 3 turns to work from my driveway lol.

And we only work 4days to make up for it at least too it's fairly lax in expectations too it's sorta gov (we work for one of the few councles in the u.s. (really dumb no one its trying this year because the contract has for anyone that meets expectations... aka the bare minimum gets max pay increase of only 2.5% this year)) so it can be rough but only in that nothing happens fast ever even when up agenst a deadline and if you need an answer on something expectations are you will be waiting 2-3 months and thats with weekly reminders lol. But the government Healthcare and pension make up for alot of the short Comings.

Good - Glad to hear it's not quite as bad as I originally thought. But, yeah - the other dude driving 1.5 hours each way - is INSANE!

Oh I know right like the other week I ended up working a 20hr shift to avoid driving a total of 3hrs in a day since I would have needed to drive back in to meet with a tech once I would have gotten home and he drives 3hrs a day like yeah not safe either but id rather be tired and get off a day sooner in the week than drive that much in one day especially if I would have had to turn around once I got home. 😅

Yes... Google groups on IOS or Android sux for reals. As such If I interact with this forum via a handheld I do it via email. OTOH, if you access this forum on a desktop through a web browser a lot of the things you want are possible including pinning posts and searching as well as simply replying to a poster directly via email.
As far as testing your K1... if you were in the Bay Area and driving range I could do it for you, but otherwise it would be a bit too much.
