So, I just completed yet another move - from Downtown Cleveland to a location that is now only a 6 min. drive to work! It's Awesome to have such a short commute!!!

Now, right around the time I was getting ready to move - I happened upon a Craigslist posting for a Studio space. It really is a Massive space - at like 19'x25'. It's within this really old warehouse type unit - and I can even drive my car inside the building for easy unloading - and as you will see - I parked right next to the freight elevator:

Of course, you can see my WanHao D6 in the pic above, as well as my Winged Creature.

Here's the inside of the studio - which still has a TON of space even after I finished moving all my stuff in:

You can see my 2 printers - marked with the Red arrows. And, the fun part - taking a pic with the lights off:

Yes - the main wings glow in the dark - as does the Tetra Hedra behind it:

Now I have the space to do some REALLY Big stuff - and I can even fully display the original 9 foot long Dragon!

As for the smaller 4.5 foot long Dragon - due to the suggestion by the leasing manager in my new apartment building - I put it on display on my new balcony:

Wow. That's an awesome space. You would not be able to find anything like that and actually be able to afford it in CA!

Andy - that is Correct! Similar space in SoCal would probably run me more like $1200 & More per month. Now, I did see spaces around $600/mo. - but, it was typically in a building with a bunch of other artists - and each artist studio space at $600 might be 1/3 to 1/4 the space of this place. Keep in mind - the whole building is SUPER old and dirty and falling apart in places. I should show more pics of the building - internal and external - just to give folks an idea of what the place is like.

But, yeah - now I CAN go and start making some Big stuff. Only thing is - the doorway into the space is a Standard sized door - unlike many warehouse spaces that might have like Double Wide doors and such - to move in and out REALLY Big things!

Will definitely have to do another update about my space soon - as I am also planning to hang up ALL of my Abstracts - and at this point -- I have a LOT of them!

I also very much look forward to Hanging my Winged Creature from the Ceiling!

Thanks Darrell - much appreciated.

Ironically - in the past few years - I've had a number of people asking me why I am not making more stuff. Especially Bigger stuff. Like my one really big Abstract (actually - I have a Couple big abstracts now) - or even a big 3D Printed creation. As I'd love to make another version of my winged creature - but, even Bigger and more exotic. But, of course - the problem was - and I would tell folks - where would I PUT these new creations. I don't have the space for it!

And - NOW - I have NO Excuse!!! I can NOW make Much bigger things - and I have the space to put it - and Display it (with the Studio space).

But, if I make MORE stuff - I will have More of an Impetus to try and SELL things!!!

So - Kurt - your Bigger Black & Yellow Dragon - it's like Fully Articulated? As in, can you move many of the parts - and it holds position - and you could do a really cool Stop-Motion animation with it???

Yeah - I'm just curious. Been dying to seriously do a Stop-Mo type animation...

Now - I'm really Curious. What's the deal with all those Square type units? Are they all 3D Printed?? Some kinda of game pieces???

The dragons are fully articulated.  They are designed by Soozaphone: https://www.printables.com/model/1335739-dragon-action-figure
The large dragon is holding soozaphones PAM (Possable artist model) https://www.printables.com/model/1189615-pam-poseable-artists-model which had lost a hand/arm, so it was Dragon food :-).   The knight is someone else’s variation on Dummy 13 https://www.printables.com/model/674707-medieval-knight-armor-for-dummy-13 I am very proud of how I put the Jewish star on the knights shield (completely in the slicer) I cover this in section 5.3 in my article on non obvious to me slicer stuff: https://www.printables.com/article/kurt-as-non-obvious-to-him-at-least-prusa-slicer-s-YNYgb2d .

The dummy 13 family of models can be printed (As I have) useing PETG for the insides and PLA for the “armor” (outsides).    In the case of the 300% dragon the wings are in PLA with part of the wings using yellow pla so it blends with the yellow petg.      Someone else who did a 300% dragon said he used fuzzy skin on the joints or they are too loose, but they came out too tight he said.  SO I did fuzzy skin on the balls of the joints but not the sockets.

While they are fully articulated, if you move them around too much they will fall apart.   But yes, you could do a stop motion movie with them especially if you were willing to reprint at some point.

The stl for the dragon is like $7 from soozaphone, for personal use, not for sale. He has a $30/month license if you want to sell his stuff I think, which sounds fair.

I also have a 200% PAM here, and my granddaughters have a couple of 200% dummy 13’s. (Barbie sized).

The walkway the knight is on is a sample of possible bathroom tile for a remodel.   The more we stare at it the less likely we are to go that way.  ESP since the tile is acrylic which isnt what I consider a long life material.      However it DOES make a great magical road for the knight to defend.
