Good evening,

I am new to the group and this is my first post. I did an initial search for the topic and found two older posts regarding QIDI printers, but did not go much further than a cursory chat.

I recently placed an order for a QIDI X-Plus. I needed a reliable printer for getting prints out round the clock for my Etsy store and some other side jobs. I wanted an entry level 'industrial grade' printer for ~$1,000 US.  I particularly like the 'extra' extruder for printing hotter temps as I will be printing Nylon / Carbon Fiber filaments in the near future.

My questions for current or previous owners:

- what, if any, printing issues did you have with the printer?
- what, if any, maintenance costs did you incur and at what interval?

The reviews are very good, but as someone pointed out, they may be fake.

YouTube seems to love the printer for the most part.

Thank you for your thoughtful responses.

Best regards,

Mark Steele

Hey Mark,

I just did a search for QIDI - and found this posting from you. I didn't see ANY Replies. Did anyone reply back to you directly? Am also curious to know what you payed for this machine. And, since you DID post last Dec 2020 - I suspect you already got the printer. As such, have you put the printer thru its paces? Is it working well for you?

I'm just curious - because this other dude is selling his machine used - and I posted about that. And, based upon your feedback - maybe someone else in the forum here might find the machine of interest. The guy is actually located here in the LA area (although NOT that close to me - as he's up North in the Palmdale area).

Ciao for now...      -Kurt

Hey there Mark,

Bummer to hear about your bad experiences with this machine. Too bad, since, in theory - the machine seemed promising! I appreciate your input. Also, now I get to a face to your name (https://telvue.com/team/).

I guess this guy is going to have a Rough time trying to sell off this printer. Will admit, I found the printer on Amazon, and this guy is trying to sell it for nearly the same price as sold on Amazon - which is not good. Although, I know he is including a bunch of extra stuff he got for the printer, as well as like 5 spools (although - one spool is invalid filament diameter).

I may even pass your below comments to him - so he is aware.

Kurt,

I did get the printer and ran it thru it's paces for about two weeks. In that time, Qidi replaced the bed (it was warped) and the magnetic plate (they would not release my PLA prints).

I tried printing PETG but it would not print properly. Even after replacing the bed it would not level.

I always purchase off Amazon prime - so I returned it :-(
