Oh the 80's, fiber optics and lava lamps.
I have been wanting to try some Timeplast filament for a while now. They advertise a filament optimized for light transmission, so I ordered some last night. Will be interesting to see if it performs as good as they advertise. They make some pretty wild claims about their filaments ( Andy was making fun of them on a podcast when they were doing a stock offering ).
Intill it arrives I will experiment with clear pctg through a .8 nozzel.
I am working on making the "viens" of a leaf that can transmit the light of a rgb led into the "leaf". The viens will then get over molded with soft material.
Has this been done before? Maybe,  but it is quite different from the fiber optic creations of yesterday.
