Seven months ago, one of our customers' pumps had a motor fan blow up. We were unable to locate a replacement fan and needed the pump back in service as quickly as possible. They brought me that fan and asked if it was possible.

Printed in 3DFuel Pro PCTG Refuel on my CoreOne, it ran almost constantly on a 40 HP, 1800 RPM motor for seven months from Dec 2025 to yesterday when a lightning strike or a electricity surge took out the motor, panel and everything. The fan itself looks as good as the day it was installed. The only visible damage is from the tools used to remove the fan from the motor.

This will be the start of my trophy wall!

But - WHY no typical Angle to the Fan blades - which is normal for Air or Liquid flow???

The air flow on a typical motor in our industry enters from the top of the fan (as oriented in the photo) through a screen in the cowling/fan cover. The fan blows the air out and the cowling directs it down the sides of the motor.

This is a typical motor like we use:

It's a bit of a brutalitist design, but it works.
