This printer popped up in my webpage newsfeed. I thought it looked interesting - thought I would share it here.

Interesting cause:
  1. It's an IDEX
  2. It prints HIGHER Temp filaments
  3. And - it's a big print volume at 400mm Cubed!

That being said - it's pricey and NOT Really hobby level...

Still - I figured it would be interesting to share this with the group here:

I do like the idex design because the other tool is always close, and you can do neat things like mirror printing, or  2 parts at once.
I was very surprised to see they only have 1 high temp hot end  and a regular temp hot end. Now you can't print 2 high temp parts at a time. What a waste.

Hey David,

Glad to see you liked peeking at that printer. Will admit - I had NOT Even noticed that only 1 print head was high Temp - I agree - that is Stupid and Foolish to have done that!!!

Also - and I may be wrong about this - but, I don't know if it's considered a TRUE IDEX - like the Essentium printers - which Were. Since - a True IDEX means that the 2 extruders are TRULY Independent! As in - if Both extruders are on a single gantry - they are not Trully independent.  But, yeah - the idea to do Copy mode - or Mirror mode - is a GREAT Advantage to a printer like this!

That being said - there is a VERY Inherent issue to IDEX machines. We were diving DEEP into this issue at Essentium - before the co. imploded - and I had been involved with it.

The PROBLEM? You can NOT Properly do Mesh Bed Compensation. And, the Bigger your Bed - the great potential for Deviations across the entire bed. I could go into details - but, I suspect I don't really need to do that - since most folks in this forum already have full knowledge on Mesh Bed Compensation - How it works - and Why it is needed!

Just sayin'...
