I am behind on the episodes.  I think this was the one where it was mentioned about grouping objects.  In the slicer, you have 'assemble' and 'split to parts/objects,' and this is what many do in the toy community for MMU prints.  Split the part and color each one, then assemble.  It works fantastically with lettering, fyi.

When discussing printing multiple objects, you didn't mention the 'print by object' (sequential printing) option. This feature is particularly useful when printing multiple objects with stringy materials like PETG, as it allows the printer to complete one object at a time. This means you can leave the printer running unattended without needing to clear the print bed after each part finishes. Additionally, it saves time on printing startup procedures like purging, bed heating, and leveling, since these only need to be performed once at the beginning rather than for each individual object.

Hey Guy,

I meant to make a followup to that discussion - including Pics - as I did that a NUMBER of times at VisionMiner. In particular I will discuss the WHY - as well as the HOW - including some of the problems with doing - like a Bug in Prusa Slicer.

However, I hate to say it - this is the Wrong podcast you replied to. It was the one that had a segment on "Plates". So - it is That segment where I shall make the proper reply.

Print by object severely limits bed placement options, and total amounts you can print though due to the print head and gantry potentially striking already printed objects.

Bryan - I don't Totally disagree with you on your point. However, to some extent I do disagree.

That being said - this is Not the correct Thread/Podcast in which to discuss this. Please refer to # Ep. #586 thread...
