OK - this posting I figured folks might find it interesting to see what is going on with ShapeWays.
Now - not EVERYONE Here will know who IS or WAS Shapeways - but, they were one of the first, if not the first - but, definitely one of the BIGGEST of the 3D Printing services providers. The prototype I mentioned in my other posting - in regards to SaltGator - I had a test unit printed by Shapeways back in like 2012 - and it was printed in a kind of experimental material (kinda like rubber - but, rubbery sintered particles) - a material that they did NOT move forwards with after initial testing. Even though the part they printed for me was pretty nice!
And - as most already know - Shapeways died, went bankrupt - then was later brought back from the Dead!
As such - that's why I am passing this along! And, am curious to now if my Doppleganger ever heard of this co...
