Its summer time in KC ( at least its supposed to be,  but still having spring temperatures ).  So that means it's time for pool projects again. Something I have been playing with the last couple of years is a way to accelerate the flow into the pool skimmer. I am trying to trade some volume for increased flow. This is my biggest unit yet.
I thought filling the chamber with water would weigh it down enough, WRONG, it still needs more weight. It worked good but bernoulli bit me in the butt. It sucks up against the wall shutting down all flow. I need to print a spacer to hold it away from the wall.

Wow Dude - that's a BIG Arse Print!!!

Glad to see you Rockin' out the Print Volume on your Centauri!

I'm curious - what material is it?

As for getting sucked up against the wall - if you do like Screw Threads type cutouts of the sides of the unit - it would allow water to be fed down the sides of the unit and hopefully stop it from getting sucked against the side walls! Check out the design I quickly Mocked up for you - to show you what I mean - file is attached.

Yeah - obviously - I LOVE to do 3D Modeling - and I like taking on Design Challenges!!!

I will check out your model when I get home. Helping out with a machine shop emergency today. Parts are needed Monday to keep from shutting down a manufacturing line.
