...which was my TRUE Dream Job - at Essentium!

I saw this on LinkedIn:

Then, I was passed this other news link:

What a CRAZY World! Yes - Nexa3D - was probably being positioned for a while to sell out - and after Snagging Essentium - That Scumbag Avi is probably getting paid off BIGTIME by StrataSys - and now that CREEP can STOP Working!!!

Ugh...

Ha, yep, saw that. They'll revive the filament portfolio which should actually be pretty cool. But no one will be able to afford the filament lol

Actually - Two things John.

1 - Yes, Essentium filament is expensive - therefore, target market is Biz/Military world.
2 - What I think would be AMAZING is if StrataSys decided to Invest in Essentium printer technology - to improve and refine what was already started - and then release a new model of the 280 HSE - I think that would be Epic. But, I DOUBT Anything like that will actually happen! Which would be TOO Bad!

I know, Kurt. Strange turn of events indeed, and hopefully they will keep the Essentium alive.

Hello there Mr. David-LowBeanCounter,

I only wish that was true. Only thing that will stay alive from Essentium is the Filament line (potentially).

But, that being said...

An, Inside Scoop...

My former manager, Kris, at Essentium - he started up a new co. - and he is supporting pre-existing customers of Essentium that have the HSE machines. And, he pulled in my buddy Ricky - who was previously the Lead in support of the HSE machines. They ARE in talks with the folks involved in the deal(from iSQUARED AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stratasys) - so, who knows the full outcome. Only time will tell.

My buddy Ricky actually pinged me about 2 weeks ago with questions about my experience with printing ABS on the HSE machines - as all my teammates at Essentium knew about my obsession with ABS - and Acetone welding. But, I wasn't much help to Ricky - since it was just TOO Long ago that I was last working on the HSE machines - and my memory banks have leaked...
