Beyond the gripes a number of youtubers out there have talked about in their vids...
Now that I've got a couple of spools through it I see things that are BAD that the "experts" who were involved should have known better.
First off the filament change routine is ALL incorrect! The temp is incorrect, it's way too low. It unloads without a proper preload so it can easily jam the Bowden tube. It does not do a complete unload and since there was no proper preload it can easily form a bulb on the tip making manual unloads painful. After it unloads it then turns off the extruder heater! WTF! Then on load it goes all one speed. With a Bowden you go fast for awhile then you go slow. Instead its all fast making for too fast a load and the feeder skips.
Second, the print pause does not move the extruder away from the print which in turn puts a divet into the print.
Third they used a Bowden which in turn makes for poor extrusion control and a belt NEEDS A LOT of extrusion control. When you go from fast to slow for the foot that lack of control makes for over extrusions.
Next the belt jogging is way too slow. The user HAS to inspect the length of the entire belt loop before a print because things like priming lines, skirts and anchors DO NOT fall off the belt.
Did people actually beta test this machine?! These little nits add up! ... although the craptastic Bowden is a bit more than a nit.
