Hatchbox Introduces the Reload series - you guessed - master spool looks just like Microcenter and Overture

Hatchbox is getting in on the refillable spools game as well and it looks like they are falling in line with Microcenter / Overture with the same kind of masterspool

Available on Amazon, they look like they are a better deal than Microcenter (7.99 for master spool).  For Hatchbox, they offer refills for $19.99 and Refill w/Reload spool for $25.  So you come out ahead with Hatchbox.

Is Bamboo the driver behind this convergence on a single masterspool format?  They also sell refills and masterspools.  Seems like their rocket to the top would be an impetus for everyone else to jump in the refill game.

All of these masterspools have a peg that fits into a notch in the refill cardboard core, so I'm assuming these are all from the same mold, so to speak.

Do the refills fit on the Bambu spools?

I don't know, since I don't have a Bamboo, but all of them have extremely similar designs on the outside and the internal locking mechanism.

Apparently yes, if they are the same as the MicroCenter V2 refillable spool then it will fit on the bambu spool as well. 

I'll have to buy one of these refills and give it a go.

Just an FYI - Just noticed that Hatchbox is running a 20% off sale for limited time (today's email said it would expire soon), but with that, I just ordered 3 rolls of filament with the spools for $20 each, so you are essentially getting the spools for free depending on how you look at it.  Discount is taken when you go to check out in Amazon.
