...and - NO - this is NOT a Butt joke!

I'm curious to know if the rear printer layouts are the SAME between both printers - the Bambu X1C vs. the Elegoo Centauri Carbon (1) units. Rear layouts - as is - fan grill locations, Poop chute size opening & location - as well as the Screw holes around the poop chute and fan grills.

I'm working on some stuff for my CC1 - and I truly Wonder how much it would carry over to the X1C (and possibly the H2D).

The Open Centauri group has ECC cad models posted on their GitHub page.

I am interested in your work, since i am a new cc owner. I think the idea of recirculating the air through filters is the way to go.

Thank you for your kind words, David. I will keep you posted on my progress. I agree about recirculating. I will probably make updates back to my other thread (or potentially make a new one).
Honestly - the Filter enclosure I downloaded - it kinda SUCKED - for several reasons:
  1. The filter did NOT fit right!
  2. And - what is most annoying - people these days don't have a CLUE About DFAM - and making 3D Designs such that you do NOT need Supports!

So - I'm probably going to be doing a Total revamp of that unit I printed - to make a Better Fit - and Better handle on it (they one they did was STUPID) - and - redesign for a single recirculating unit - AND again - with DFAM in Mind and NOT needing Supports!

Kurt the X1C filter is internal, in the same spot where the H series has their chamber filter.

Mandic did a recent video where he sealed up his Core 1 machines with a flap based design (not unlike the H2 series has) for printing ASA (mainly to retain heat). Might work well for your CC. Just realize looking at the rear the right fan is pulling air into the machine.

Here's an image of the X1C rear:

The grille all the way to the right is intake for the printer control board. The left is exhaust.

Hey Bryan,

Thanks for the feedback and the Pic. Yeah - I see it's a Completely different rear configuration. I see the funny kind of embossed shape in middle back of X1C - and I know that's the spot where it has part of the filament swapping and driving mechanism that is fed to from the AMS. Bummer the back is So Different - which just means my designs will be specific to the ECC units. Even the purge chute exit is a bit different of a configuration - as the ECC has 2 screws at the bottom of it. And, yeah - I'm working on a flap  unit design for the ECC. I wonder if the one Mandic did - will just flap open when filament purges hit it. Do you have a link to the Mandic design - to the video you speak of? I would like to check it out.

His mod is for the fans (about the 5 minute mark) , the Core One does not have a poop chute, it uses a prime tower instead.
