I really, REALLY Hate to see & Deal w/Janky HW designs.

I went thru a TON of measuring & test prints - I finally SEEMED to have Nailed it - the fit to the purge chute exit rectangular shape - both horizontal and Vertical fit. But, seems that allow the horizontal fit works across the top, and vertical fit across left side - there is a problem with either horizontal or vertical dimensions on the lower left corner - as my part can NOT Fit that corner - and, although it's probably hard to see - the part is twisting to fit in and lifted out on lower left corner:

Which really Sucks!

Asking to make sure it wasn't missed in design. Are you accounting for the incline of the chute at the bottom?

Valid question. Seems the chute does not incline at that bottom part - but, I would have to look again. Problem is - why does Right side Fit - but, Left side does not!?!?!?

It's simply Illogical! Do you Concur Sean???

Kurt, what is this particular part for? Agree with Sean, if there will be poop going through it then that bottom probably needs to be angled.

It WOULD seem to make sense that it should be angled. But, again - why right side fits and  left does not.
That piece is mainly a Test for Fit - and it's part of the development of a Flap unit - and the main flap will be designed for and printed in TPU!

One of the advantages of $$ Prusa Printers is for many of them the 3d models of the machine are available from Prusa so you can CAD on top of your actual printer.

It has been upsetting that they never released the XL's CAD files....

Kurt, Is the physical opening square and true?

If it is, then is it maybe a janky print?

Ray - my printer has been Rockin' the prints GREAT! So - I think it's an issue with the hardware. Part of the bottom of the opening does NOT Seem Square or True - Just a LIE!

I had further idea on how to prove my point of it not being Square. But, am Switching tracks again - jumping back into my Sno-Blok stuff - especially as winter is almost ending - I need to produce more parts for Beta testers - AND even more Specialized parts - like producing a Scoop design that has several special features to it!

Will keep you ALL posted on THIS project and the Sno-Bloks project for sure!!!

Ray - that is my point - it is NOT Square and true.

So - here goes...

The part I printed before - as a Test fit of the Chute opening - I tweaked the design - so I had the Horizontal part - and the Vertical part - Separate. This allowed me to use the part to test the fit - as in - horizontally at the top and at the bottom - as well as Vertically - on the Left and on the right!

As such, here's testing fit on the vertical right side:
Chute_Rt.jpg

The on Left side:
Chute_Left.jpg

Obviously - as you can see from those pics - left and right side openings are fine and the same height!

Then, time to test the Width. This was the top edge test fit:
Chute_Top.jpg

However - when I go to test the Bottom edge of the chute - here was the results:
Chute_Bottom_Bad.jpg

As you can plainly see - it's forcing the plastic to Bulge - and Thus - it's TOO Narrow on the bottom. And, as mentioned before - you can see - it has nothing to do with the potential angling of the inside bottom of the Chute.

This really is rather a bummer! Why? Cause - if I want to make my Flap Unit - it will have to be tweaked for a potentially Skewed Chute opening - which kinda SUCKS! I may just have to move forwards with that in mind...
