There is an old saying that every man should plant a tree, have a child, write a book... and build his own 3D printer. Wish me luck.

Nice start Daniel.

When I found Nero's channel and started seeing more about Vorons I liked their community and design philosophy. Initially I thought I'd build a Switchwire CoreXZ, then decided that the 1.8 CoreXY would be a better choice for the better utilization of space in my compact print farm. I was briefly distracted by the Zero and 0.1 and considered getting a kit, but for me the 0.1 is just a bit too small at 120mm. At 150mm the Micro M would be a better choice. But I was already collecting parts for the 1.8-250 when the Trident came out which improved on some important design issues so I have switched my collecting to the 1.9/Trident. (If anyone wants to build a 1.8 I have the panel sets for it in the flea market pile). I've not been attracted to the 2.4 due to the extra complexity, but it has been very popular. I suspect the Trident will pass the 2.4 in popularity when a few kits are available due to the reduced price point and build effort. The 2.4 has some advantages in the largest sizes but at 250 not so much for me.

Best of luck on your 2.4 and if you need any support the Voron discord channels are excellent which you probably already know.

You're going to love that printer when you're done. Mine just started printing two days ago and I'm thrilled.

Should have said Tiny-M, that's the 150 (or 190) mm not-official Voron variant. The 190 version uses Prusa Mini size print plates. The Micron is a 2.4 variant made with 0.1 parts at 120mm. Don't think there is a Micro-M, at least not yet. :)

Don't beat yourself up TOO Badly!

About 12 years ago, when I was teaching in NYC - I had 3 classes 1 semester, each like 17-20 students. If that wasn't bad enough - the one class had like 90% Asians - and some of their names were Crazy to pronounce - much less remember! So - yeah - been there - done that...

Great color.  I have a V2.4 the same color.  I'll watch here for any progress posts and will chime in if I can offer any help.

Thanks Steve. I used Inland black and green filament from micro center. I am printing on my CR10s. I had to made several upgrades to the printer to get good quality. I built the ikea lack enclousure, upgraded the motherboard, and added support rods to the frame
