Picked up a roll of MC's "Basic PLA" for only 9.99 (Looks like a "sale" price, normally 15.99, but their PLA / PLA+ is typically marked down).

Label says it's made with INGEO, which is from Natureworks.

Wondering if anyone had any experience with it?  They have White / Grey / Black / and True Red of all things that I saw.

Can't beat the price, will try it, at least for prototyping.

Inland filament is about all I use since there's a MicroCenter about ten minutes away. Always been great.

Yeah, I really only deviate from Inland when I need a specific color.  Price / Performance can't be beat otherwise.

I wish I had the same experience.  Nearly every Inland spool I've purchased has had issues.  It might be changing for the better though.  I think they used to have a lot of spools sitting on the shelves for years at a time.  Now it looks like there's enough of a market that they can keep the inventory moving.  Hopefully they continue to improve the process and quality of their product.

I also have issues with Inland brand micro-electronics for the record.  I find the products I can order online are better quality.  It's frustrating because I like Microcenter and I like the convenience.  I want them to succeed.

Each roll was different and this has been spread out over multiple years.  Poor layer adhesion, poor print quality, stringing, brittleness, you name it I had it at some point.  I would tune and tweak and try to dial in the filament, and then switch to a more name-brand filament (Overture, Polymaker, Hatchbox etc.) and print without issue.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm actually bitter because the first roll of filament I bought was Inland PLA Grey and it nearly broke me.  The quality was so terrible I thought my printer was broken and nearly gave up the hobby.  But no, it was just the filament.

Granted, that was 3 years ago now, but I learned my lesson.  Buy multiple brands of filament from multiple manufacturers and find what works for you.  Don't trust the filament.

Microcenter (Inland) doesn't actually make filament. They used to be rebranded eSun filament when they first started, now it's all made by Polymaker.

The one I frequent would constantly run low, so the filament was always moving. They've recently renovated the area and have 3X the filament space they used to.
