Some of the hi-C data for Hela cells (*.hic.gz) are missing from the GEO repository.

I was recently able to find them here:

https://bcm.app.box.com/v/aidenlab/1/11403202723

Is there a reason these aren't on GEO?

Cheers,

I'd also like to find the hi-C data for HeLa cells, but they seem to also not be in the folder (Rao & Huntley et al. | Cell 2014) from the link you posted. If anyone knows where/how to access these data, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Tracy and Natalie,

The HeLa data is not available on GEO because HeLa genome sequence data is protected under an agreement between the NIH and the Lacks family. The raw HeLa data from our study is available on dbGaP at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/projects/gap/cgi-bin/study.cgi?study_id=phs001010.v1.p1. The .hic files for the HeLa data are not available there yet, but we will make sure it gets uploaded to dbGaP as soon as possible. I will post here when the .hic files are available on dbGaP.

Thanks,
Suhas
