Hello,

I am new to genome assembly. I just started using JBAT. I have a question.

If a region is highlighted as blue box (chromosome), and it does not contain any Hi-C signal, I just assumed it should not be included in the final assembly genome.

How can we delete that region (blue box)?

If I right click on the box, there is no delete option, but there is "move to debris" or "Move to debris and add boundaries".

Is that what we should do to remove that blue annotation from the final genome assembly? Your feedback is highly appreciated.
