Hello,
I've been doing a little bit of 3D modeling in the past year, and
thought your project sounded like a great idea. There aren't any
Carnegie Libraries here in town, but there are a few nearby. Later
this year I would probably be able to visit more of them. From what I
understand there are 16 Carnegie Libraries in Illinois.I wouldn't mind
taking a crack at one or two of them (or more).

Best Regards,
Dan J

Welcome Dan!

Visiting the libraries to take photos is the best way to do it but it
is also possible to do quite a bit remotely using images from Flickr,
etc. Street view is helpful at times for general models but
frequently the resolutions isn't the best.

Take some time to look at the doc's and resources we have been
collecting, glad have the help!

happy modeling,

Patrick

Welcome Dan, from the UK! (Think I'm getting a bit outnumbered
here!) ...

I'm currently putting together a bit of a guide to information
gathering (although you probably won't need it!) so this could help
you should you decide to take photos of your own.

See you around.

Hey Dan,

Welcome. Lots of work to do in Illinios. Here is a good starting
point. http://andrewcarnegie.tripod.com/

I'll setup a 3d warehouse collection page for Illinois so you will
have a place to put your completed models. You are always welcome to
model in any other state also. Lot's to do still in California, so
help yourself. We have some good graphics information already for CA,
but there is a lot to be had out there, just takes a little work to
find it.

Sure appreciate your interest, and let us know if we can help in any
way.

Thanks

Oh! Almost forgot. We could use big time help from a web architect. As
you can see our presents is a little weak, and we could sure use some
better exposure, so if your so inclined, we would appreciate it. Let
me know, and I'll set you up with the correct permissions.

Thanks
