Hello All,

I am wondering what we should do with heavily modified buildings. I
was looking at doing the Alturas Library. It go remodeled into the
International style, obliterating any original Carnegie.

My guess is Google would want what is there today.

I've had the same quandary a few times, and with one I'm working on
now.

Not really sure how to answer, as you say GE are sure to want the
*current* buildings, but then that won't really do for this project!

I think you have it correct Patrick. That is the best we can do, with the information we have. As long as we make sure the models link back to information which paints as full of a historic record as it can. We can always add to the place mark information as more information becomes available.

Glad to hear you didn't get stuck anywhere, and yes it is good weather for modeling.

Good to hear from you also Lee. Hope things are going well for you.

Thanks

I think modeling the existing building, then linking back to the Carnegie site is the best we can do, it can raise awareness if nothing else.

We got about 7 inches of snow last night. I hunkered down with a pot roast and a good fire in the fireplace.

Good weather for modeling.
