Thought that this method of communication might open up some doors for
us as a collection team.

I would sure like to be able to communicate things more clearly with
you guys. Only problem is I have Skype setup on my system at work, and
not at home. My laptop would explode if I tried doing more then just e-
mail and forum post with it.

My Skype username is jaxcoffee, so if you guys have it, lets use it.

Thanks

Sadly I can't Skye from home, I use my local free wireless that is a
bit choppy.

I can surf, and get to the warehouse but its a bit prone to drop
outs, usually when I really need to do something :(

Sorry to hear that Patrick. But I know what you mean. I need an
upgrade to a better system at home big time. Might be happening soon.
I think we are going to be shutting down the coffee roasting business,
so I will be setting up an office at home. So that will make things
better.

Then I will really be able to bug you guys a lot more!!

Jax, and everyone,

When I hear talk of new systems, I have to say:

I have been buying computers from an American company for many years.
Please allow me to recommend their products if you ever buy another
computer, desktop, notebook, tablet, or hot gaming system, or really
really hot server.

Seneca Data / NexLink computers
Foreign parts, mostly, but as many American suppliers as possible.
Final assembly and all tech support from the Syracuse NY office.
When you talk to a tech, he's there, not offshore.
These folks really stand behind their products.

He does onesy-twosey orders, but (of course) concentrates on higher
quantities.
If you send him a spec or a wishlist via email, he responds with a
complete itemized quote.

OH YEAH, and who else will sell you a Win7 Pro License, and actually
install XP Pro?
Perfectly legal, but hard to find.

Please tell him that I referred you. I've been buying computers from
David for 15 years.

Hi all,

Sorry, no Skype for me. Although to be honest, I don't really know what it is! Could someone enlighten me!

Sure Lee,

For you it would be great. It's a program for being able to talk to
anyone, anywhere through the microphone and speakers on your computer.
I believe they call it "Voice over IP." Just thought it would be
something we could use to communicate with each other.

www.skype.com has information about it. Check it out.

I also pitched the fact that your working on the Hull Carnegie to a
guy on sketchUcation forum that lives in Hull. He might be contacting
you. His forum name in Linea, or something like that. He was teaching
some school kids sketchup, and I thought the Carnegie project might
get them excited about being involved. I guess we will see how he
responds.

Let me know if you hook up with Skype. I would love to talk with you
Lee.

Kent,

I just saw you are from Syracuse. I grew up in Lee Center, just north
of Rome. A 40 acre farm on the edge of the Tug Hill Plateau. We got
more snow than Syracuse.

And that can be a lot.
