Looking for an Interior Designer

Hi Fellow Residents. I am looking for Interior Desinger for my apartment in Boulevard.

I am not looking for a contractor who would do POP/Woodwork etc. I have seen the work of most of the contractors who distribute their visiting cards at boulevard's gate, I find them just carpentor doing same designs in each home....and some of them use just so funny finishings, can you imagine Florecent Orange and Green in Kitchen with the tiles and kitchen counter provided by builder itself... ???

I have seen all those (Apologies if it hurts anyone's sentiments), these contractors do provide cheap furnishing options, but they dont look good to me.

 

Has anyone hired a decent Interior designer for their apartment in Boulevard...Please share their contact numbers.

I recommend you check with a design firm called 'right angle'...they did my apartment in gurgaon. Was very happy with the result.

You would have to check with them whether they take up projects in Noida.

Thanks for your reply and feedback on HybriDesign's work. I spoke to Meghna today and found her pretty knowledgable in her field.

I checked with her if she would be comfortable taking out time for my apartment on weekdays if needed, as per her she has a couple of projects in Noida / Gurgaon in pipeline and has decided to quit her full time employment as faculty and would soon be focusing 100% on interior projects, she also mentioned about hiring staff to manage multiple projects. So I hope this would take care of devoting time on weekdays.
 
On the pricing front, per sq ft cost for carpentary, false ceiling, electrition work etc her pricing seems to be pretty decent. I guess some of the local carpenters / contractors standing at Boulevard gates demanded more than her quotes (I really didnt liked their work...no sense of color combination and the kinda end product didnt pleased me), seems hiring her would increase my overall budget by not more than 5% or so. This seems justified for better designs, supervision and quality of raw material and finishing she promised. 
 
Marking copy to the Boulevard group, in case someone from the group is looking for a decent Interior Designer.

- u will have to deal only with Meghna for all the work. No hassles of ensuring the guys are on working on the proposed design, she will make them change the design if its not as approved.

- she will be giving u designs and taking approvals from you before going ahead with the design

- she is flexible enough to have your own guys for the execution part but they will be working under her (if u hire her for end-to-end solution.

Cons:

- Cost is of course higher than the usual carpenter

- Meghna is a facutly member in one of the ID colleges and cannot track work on daily basis (also she resides in West Delhi, so its not feasible for her to visit frequently anyway). She visits the site only on Sundays. So you will have to still be cautious that the work getting done is as per your requirements and designs. But I have seen that this is the case of all the designers as well who claim that they monitor work on daily basis.

- She doesn't provide the 'real 3D' designs which many designers claim they provide. She is open to provide them when requested but it takes time (2-3 days)

And as I mentioned, all in all her services have been satisfactory so far. You can give her my reference (T6/202)
