Hi all,

My 1st message in this group - for those who don't want to pay bribe to get their flat registered.

To add to below email - I got a call from a Ms Vandana of TOI for more details about today's happenings. In the end she said, that since their was no formal complaint and no name of any person of Noida authority to give (since they weren't directly asking for it), she might not be able to publish it. But she asked me to revert back if there's more info.

I guess if people are willing to put up a fight, we can expect help from media.

Regards,
Anshuman

It's common because we have made it common.

Got my flat registered today after paying 11000/-. 2 others who had decided not to pay the extra charges, were also able to get it done. I received a receipt for 10080. For the other 900 odd Rs. they said we will get a receipt (supposedly their were some other government charges involved for which they promised to give receipts).

This wouldn't have been possible:
1. Mr S N Jha & Mr Aseem Joshi (with their spouses) who also were firm about not paying anything. Special thanks to Mrs & Mr Jha who had the presence of mind to record the "gyaan" 3C's consultant was giving us if we did not pay & later called the media to the scene.
2. Support of other residents who were paid because of circumstance (lived in Delhi/asked to vacate present house by landlord) but supported our cause and gave their statement to the media.

All of us were ready to wait a few months and pay Noida authority some more visits to get it done the right way. BTW, this was the 2nd time Mr. Jha had got his registry done in Noida without bribing anyone. His experience was helpful.

Other points:
- While 3C is not directly getting involved in this murky business, they do want us not to pay as it becomes a bigger headache for them (delay in registration & handover of flats, possible problems in future projects).
- Consultant hired by 3C Mr. Madan Gupta has been recorded on tape giving out "gyaan" on why we should pay up. Both  him and Mr Mohit Rastogi (of 3C) went missing for the duration media was there.

For those who want to get it done the right way, it's best to try and form a group. Even if media is not involved, there is no way registry can be delayed indefinitely (not more than 1-2 months if one is pro-active about it).

Regards,
Anshuman

There was something similar that happened with us while registering a flat in bangalore.

Quite a few folk gathered ~ 100 and went for a registry en-mass and got the registry done without paying any bribe. Suggest something similar can happen for 3C registry.

Hi,

I just got a call from Mr. Naveen (Mann I think). He told me to be

available for registry tomorrow at 10:30 am and to bring Rs 25000

cash. Half of it other government fees and other half as bribe.

Now I won't be giving in to bribery tomorrow so most likely registry

would not take place. Is there anyone else in the group who wants to

join in fighting this corrupt practice?

Looking forward to meeting you.

Regards,

Anshuman

Now the scene is that 3C is saying that we won't be facilitating registry. Either do it yourself or talk to the consultant (tout) yourself.
Let us know the date and time, and our representative will be there to sign.

That is not possible as they have to send their person for signing. If they can not then it is not possible to get your flat registered. Infect they are just doing their part and not facilitating any thing beyond that.

Secondly by doing this do they want to prove that they support the malpractice and corruption.

But again before reaching to any conclusion could you please tell us who made the statement from 3c. Secondly if they are not facilitating then are they going to write the same in black and white.

Nitin
