Here's the URL: http://www.meetup.com/3D-Printing-Meetup-Group-Boston/events/225394780/

Here's the content:

This meetup's meant for current and future users of 3D printers, as a chance to share knowledge and tips. There's no admission. Definitely bring any projects or creations you'd like to share.

We'll start with a few 5 minute presentations by some local users:

* "My Path to 3D Printing and Lessons Learned" by Zachary Sherman
* "Minecraft and 3D Printing" by Eric Haines
* "Local Recycled Filament" by Adam Proctor, aka Atom Jaay

These will be followed by any informal announcements anyone would like to make: describing a project, asking for help, letting people know of a great resource.

We then break up for socializing and demos, with snacks (none 3D printed, yet) and sodas.

Schedule:
7 pm - arrive
7:15 - talks and announcements
7:45 - let the schmoozing and demos commence!
8:00 - optional Artisan's Asylum tour; worthwhile if you've never been here before
9:00 - time to leave and do great things

See http://artisansasylum.com/directions/ for directions and parking. You can park for free in the Dane Street lot.

By the way, Artisan's Asylum has just begun a Fall Speaker Series; give it a look here: https://artisansasylum.com/speaker-series/

I picked Artisan's Asylum again for this meetup mainly because they asked me to have one there. Anyone can suggest a meetup, and I encourage you to do so. If you do, I'm happy to send on your announcement to the 3D printer users list I've compiled.

Hope to see you there,

Eric

Not sure how active this group is these days, but it seemed like a good place to start!

I have a Hyrel Engine FDM(and more) machine that's been playing paper-weight in my shop for far too long.

I've got 4 heads (3 FDM  Hot Ends and 1 Cold Extruder), and everything is in good condition (save for a couple of the directional cooling fans that have gotten a little mangled in some jammed-print incidents)

It's a solid machine with good support from the folks at Hyrel, but I just don't have the time to tinker and calibrate my way to successful prints these days.   So it needs a home.

Ideally I like to find a maker-space or maker who can offer either a fair-value for it (below what I paid, mind you!), or if a Maker on a budget wants it, I'd be willing to trade full-time-access to the machine in their shop for "shop steward" services of occasionally running me some FDM prints (I'm mostly SLAing these days, but sometimes an FDM print would be better).

I had a maker-friend offer to play shop-steward for me, but shipping the beast has been a barrier to make that happen, so someone I could meet by car somehow would get this puppy a new home.

Anyhow, hit me up at this address (edonelso...@gmail.com) or at my Studio address (stagwolfg...@gmail.com) if you're interested and would like to discuss details.

Thanks for reading!
Eric
