Hey all!

I'll be traveling for a bit, and have opted to loan out my two bots to people on the South Shore. I didn't want them getting dusty and lonesome here at the house. 

Matt  has the Makerbot Cupcake. He also is developing a technique for melting the plastic, very similar to the way Jeremy is filling gaps in his parts. The Makerbot was working when I passed it on to him, though it is a finicky beast. On Monday, he said that he's got a Toolhead 0 error. When I've gotten this in the past, it was a result of motherboard or power supply not being turned on. He said that was not the case. 

Jamie has the Printrbot. It's a kit that he is putting together. He indicated that he has it mostly together as of Sunday. 

I will forward this message to them and have them chime in to the conversation as they need help or want to meet up.

Hi chris! I was just wondering about a specific part- The plans call for two '5MM TO 8MM FLEXIBLE SHAFT COUPLING' 

but the closest thing I could find was two short lengths of clear plastic tubing.

Are those the couplings?

If you haven't figured it out, it should look like a metal cylinder with a spiral cut into it.
