How do you drill a very large hole into a porcelain tile. This project covers tile drilling sizes of 100mm 105mm 110mm 115mm 120mm 125mmIt is a customer feedback project. This is what he said:Hey folks so I gave my 115mm drill from 365 a whirl today. Took some photographs so you can see what I did and how I did it. I wanted to put the 365drills or PORSADRILL to the testAs sods law goes then yes my hole had to go across the joint of two tiles so I had no other choice than to construct a jig to hold the two tiles. I constructed a frame to hold the tiles as the diamond core did its work. First I made a wooden jig out of plywood (see bottom of photo above) I set about drilling the hole with my battery hand drill set to the lowest torque setting and making sure the work area was kept continuously wet by tipping water from a small bottle I was delighted how quickly and cleanly I managed to complete the hole because it was dangerously close to the edge so I as really concerned about the tile splitting. I should have know there would be no such concerns As you can see from the final result the hole is 100% perfect. The diamond cores have ground out a superb hole into the hardest porcelain tile. No chipping whatsoever to the tile. This is a stunning result.
Here you can see in extreme closeup the tile has a hole drilled into it by PORSADRILL and the size used is 115mm. Using diamond holesaws, drill bits and tile drills really make a difference to larger holes on very expenisve and normally difficult to drill tiles. Well worth the money. You can find more details on our website here
