An issue has cropped up that I have not struck before.  I uploaded a drone panorama yesterday, and after realising I was visible in the image I 'erased' myself and uploaded a new version.  I swapped the image using the swap feature, and in edit mode the updated image displays correctly.  However, after saving, view mode still shows the old panorama.  I have cleared the local cache and performed a 'hard' reload, but to no avail.  I even tried several different browsers and incognito mode, but all still show the old version of the panorama.  On my phone however, the new panorama displays.  Is there a server-side cache at play here, or am I missing something?  I've used the swap feature many times before and not struck this issue.
cheers, Bill

Hi Bill,

Sorry about the issues. Please can you share the URL of the pano?

Hello Bruce,
I'd be interested to know if you see the old or the updated version.  In the old version that still loads for me, you can see me (with a hat on) standing underneath a tree towards the left of the initial view:

In the updated version I uploaded, I am not there.  It's weird, because the updated version shows in edit mode, but not in view mode, despite clearing all local caches.
cheers, Bill

G'day Bruce, I have done some experimenting, and it seems that at the server end, a cache of the original uploaded file is somehow kept in cache.  I had another panorama I couldn't swap, so I ended up deleting the original panorama, uploaded and published a new one using a file with the same local filename, gave it the same panorama name and description - and it still kept the panorama previously posted even though I had deleted to original from the website!  Bizarre to say the least!  I've uploaded and published a different panorama and tried the usual swap routine, and the same behaviour persists.  This time I inverted the hues in the panorama so it would be obviously different.  Again, the swapped panorama with inverted hues displays in edit mode, and even on the thumbnail on my panorama index page (see attached image) - but the original panorama with correct colours still displays when you go to view the file!

p.s. I have deleted the original panorama that started this thread, and ended up resorting to giving it a new title - that was the only procedure that worked!

Hi Bill,

Sorry for th issues. tt can take up to a week for your updated panos to appear everywhere due to server side caches. We will add this information to our help guide page: (https://www.360cities.net/help/replacing-swapping-panorama-with-new).

Thanks Bruce.  I thought it was something I was doing wrong!  I did notice that when I swapped panoramas, the process seemed to happen too quickly.  It only took about a second whereas it used to take up to 10 seconds or so - but when it did this the panorama itself was swapped correctly.  I have left my 'test swap' panorama there for the moment to see how long it takes to complete.
