Viewpoint and Heading not working

I just uploaded this panorama:

Vogel (1922 m)

I set a viewpoint and checked the "Show Heading on embedded compass" checkbox, yet neither does the image start at the selected viewpoint, nor is the heading displayed.

I uploaded another panorama today (Grabnerstein 1847 m), and both the viewpoint and the heding work on this one.

Some insight why it does not work with the first image would be much appreciated!

Thank you for bringing this up Herbert.  I have never been able to make sense of the embedded 'compass' in panorama 'view mode' on 360cities, partly because I have never noticed the tiny tick box to select "show heading on embedded compass".  I would have thought such a feature would be enabled by default.  I have just edited a few of my 600ish panoramas to enable this feature, but it makes no difference - I am guessing it takes a while to update.  I don't have a solution for you, but thanks for pointing out the checkbox for it!  It would be good if the compass in view mode was the same as the one you see in edit mode.

Thank you for your patience. We have been looking deeply at the heading and viewpoint feature to see if we can get it to function consistently as originally intended. We've come to the conclusion that it will take significant development work, which we can't commit to doing right now but it is on our "to do" list. We'll let you know if / when it is working as we'd like.

Thanks for the update Bruce.  I managed to get the 'N' to show up on my panoramas, but the 'compass' doesn't always show the correct viewpoint azimuth.  As a suggestion it would be good to have a spinning compass similar to that which is seen in edit mode.  Thanks again for you efforts.

Unfortunately not at this point. We need to rework the whole thing so it works as intended all the time.
