I just uploaded two panoramas via FTP ! Both were about 11000 pixels large, (~170/180 Mo), so it took quite some time to upload them...

When I checked them -as "unpublished"-, they both appeared with very odd colors: only green and violet !!! I deleted one straight away, but as an afterthought, I published the other ! You can see it at http://www.360cities.net/image/parvis-of-st-peter?override_cache=true#100.60,0.70,50.3 !

Please tell me what has been going one, as I don't undersand ! I have previously uploaded quite a  few panoramas, but never had this BUG happening !

BTW, Just to check, I also published this same pano at http://www.viewat.org/?i=en&id_aut=2489&id_pn=21465&sec=pn and ther are no problem seiing it !

Please help !

Hi J-P,

Thanks for reporting this bug. If you get this error again, please, provide me with the links of the panoramas damaged.

Hi Helena !

Thanks for responding, but I DID provided the link of one of the panoramas that ended gren and violet, and I specified that 2 of them -as for now- had the same problem !

Now, what I would like is to FIND A SOLUTION, as as I also explained, I upload these same panoramas on another site, and there was no color problem whatsoever !

Please, DO something !

...anyway, Happy New Year...

I've had similar things happen to panos I uploaded.  I just deleted them and tried uploading them again-- sometimes it took a few tries.

On this pano I had that kind of problem twice in a row, the last time I uploaded it, it was ok except the little circle at the nadir which you can see here:

I don't mind the circle so I left it-- it almost looks like it was supposed to be some kind of logo. . .

I also upload with the ftp.

Good luck-- and we'll all try to keep our panos out of the liquor cabinet!

Hi Joe !

Thanks for your message ! At least I don't feel alone having problems uploading stuff !

This is rather strange, as I uploaded more than 60 spherical panoramas on this site, but I never had this bug happening.... I hope that, after the New Years holidays, someone from 360Cities will take care of that !?!

Cheers,
J-P.

Hi J-P,

I know and I saw your panorama's link. Our tech team will check this issue.
I requested you to provide me with other damaged panorama's links in case you get this error again. The more links with damaged panoramas we have, the easier for us to find the bug.

Regards,
Elena

Did you check if the images you're uploading was in sRGB colorspace, instead of AdobeRGB, ProPhoto or something else?  And whether the correct colorspace profile was embedded in the images?  I would assume that your photo was in some other color space while either 360cities ignores color profiles and assumes everything as sRGB, or else it didn't find the profile embedded in your image.

Hi Joe,

Those lines (the circle) are already in the master image uploaded by you.

Please, can you check the master?

Elena

Thomash2:  I admit I am an amatuer at this stuff-- I have no idea what "color space" my pano is in!  I process my raw files to tif in lightroom then I stick them in hugin, which I make output a tif, which I load back into lightroom to fix holes, shadows, and what not, then output a jpeg to upload (becuase it is so much smaller).  That is all I know!

Elena:  The master copy on my computer doesn't have the lines.  I think the problem may be with my uploading ftp software, or my cheap, slow internet connection.  I re-uploaded the file and it should be fixed now (I mentioned this in a post a couple of days ago but the post was deleted--why or by whom I have no idea!).

Thanks for checking in on this for me!

Joe
