The Sierra Club local Loma Prieta chapter showed the film Bidder 70 to an audience of about 50 people up in Redwood City several months back.

It was a powerful, inspiring film and people in the audience were moved.  (We might consider doing a local showing ourselves.)

We've sometimes seen protestors at Keystone XL and stop fracking rallies holding up mock Bidder 70 signs, the message of which is often lost on casual attendees.

If you haven't seen the film, the Movie Trailer is at: https://youtu.be/27vl_VbehIs

Here's another possible topic for part of our discussion on Saturday (not by email, please)  I went to hear Tim DeChristopher Wed night in San Mateo..he's the guy who was jailed for 2 years for bidding on BLM land leases and not having the money to pay.  He has started a center called the Climate Disobediance Center and they help organizations or individuals who want to orchestrate an act of civil disobediance, like CREDO did with the Pledge of Resistance on the KXL.

So, the question for our strategy discussion is..what, if any, is the role of civil disobediance in our 350SV strategy?

P.S.  He's at the UU in Palo Alto Fro night at 7:30, also.  Very inspiring.
