Support NPA presentations on McNeil

Greetings 350 Chittenden Node members,

The McNeil Workgroup (a joint venture with Stop Vt Biomass) is scheduled to present at all Burlington NPAs (Neighborhood Planning Assemblies) this spring.    The title of our talk is: The McNeil Plant – A Case for Closure.  We had our first presentation at Ward 4 &7 on April 22 and it went quite well.

We need your help to make the most of these talks.  Here’s what you can do:

•        Please attend one of the Ward NPA meetings as a friendly supporter. Be prepared to ask a good question or two. (You don’t need to be a resident of the ward to attend- these are public meetings. But if you are a resident, that’s a plus!)
•        If you live in Burlington, encourage your neighbors to attend their NPA on the date of our presentation.
• ·      Write a blurb in your Front Porch Forum to encourage folks to attend.

Here is a schedule for the remaining NPA meetings where we will be presenting.

Ward 1- Wednesday May 13, 6:30- 8:30 PM, Friends Meeting House 172 S Prospect St, Lisa Lax & Leendert Huisman 

Ward 2- Thursday May 14, 6:30-8:30, ONE Community Center, 20 Allen Street, Kim Hornung-Marcy & Mary Andrews.

Ward 3- Wednesday May 6, 6:30-8:30 PM, Sharon Bushor room at City Hall, Nick Persampieri

Ward 5- Thursday May 21, 7-8:30 PM, Dept. of Public Works Conference room 645 Pine Street, Peter MacAusland & Natalee Braun.

Ward 6- Thursday May 7, 6:30-8:30 PM, Dept. of Public Works Conference room 645 Pine Street, Pike Porter & Nick Persampieri.

Ward 8- Thursday May 28, 6:30-8:30 PM, Sharon Bushor room at City Hall, Peter MacAusland & Lisa Lax.
