One of the best YouTubes on renewable energy. “Renewable” is here used correctly: solar and wind, definitely not biomass. The basic message, with a lot of detail, is simple: solar panels and batteries collect and store energy and can be reused ten or fifteen years from now and maybe even farther in the future. Its input, sunlight, is free. Fossil fuels are extracted, processed and then burned, necessitating continuous extraction.

The speaker does not talk about climate impact. For him this is pure industrial engineering and economics. He does address the major objections against solar: land use, uncommon elements that need to be mined, etc. In one hour, he could not go too deeply, but he still did a great job.
