The McNeil work group is gearing up for some exciting advocacy this spring.  We are in the process of developing an educational presentation on the harmful effects of the McNeil plant, a biomass plant that is the largest single source of carbon emissions in Vermont. These presentations will take place at each of the eight Neighborhood Planning Assembly (NPA) groups in Burlington this spring. The purpose of these presentations is to mobilize public support and draft a resolution for city council asking them to develop a plan for closing the McNeil Plant by 2028.

We need volunteers for this effort! This includes persons to help develop the presentation and persons to assist with the actual presentation at each NPA. We also need 350VT members who are residents of Burlington to make a commitment to attend the presentation at the NPA meeting in their Ward and/or to be in touch with their city councilors.
