Action Alert: Peak bust this week! Especially Thursday!

Hi all!

With hot weather expected this week, No Coal, No Gas has sent out a call for peakbusting from tonight through at least Sunday. Any reduced electricity usage during this time is great, but there is a particular focus on this Thursday. 

From No Coal, No Gas:  

We may see the highest electricity usage of the entire year this Thursday 7/2 from 5pm-8pm. This is the most important time to peak-bust. ISO-New England will use the highest single hour of the year as the basis for how much electricity we need in the future. Working collectively, we can bring down that peak and keep fossil fuels in the ground and money in our community. Thursday is also a great opportunity to gather friends or neighbors for swimming, a potluck, or a peakbusting discussion gathering.

While Thursday is our priority, we are also calling for peakbusting daily from tomorrow Tuesday 6/30 until at least Sunday 7/5 due to the ongoing heat wave.
