Happy September! With the start of school underway and most schools done with club rush, I hope everyone is excited to get started with another year of service! We have many exciting events in store for September and October, so make sure to read through this entire email to find information regarding the following:

2023-24 Servetember Challenge!
September DCM
Are you new to Key Club, a returning member, or an officer? Whatever the case, join us for our September DCM on Saturday, September 23rd from 4-6 PM at De Anza Park in Sunnyvale! We will be decorating personal notebooks in the park and Lynbrook, Homestead, and Menlo-Atherton Key Clubs will be selling baked goods and treats! Bring your own decorations (stickers, glitter, pens, etc.) if you would like, but notebooks and paint/markers will be provided.
Please RSVP at tinyurl.com/sepdcm23 if you are interested! We will be using this to estimate how many notebooks to get, so if you want a notebook to decorate please fill out the form!
Chipotle Fundraiser
To raise money for the Pediatric Trauma Program and YES! Initiative (our preferred charities), we will be hosting a fundraiser at Chipotle on September 17th from 4-8 PM! Invite all your friends and family, and make sure to visit the right location and use our flyer/code when ordering!
Spirit Gear
2023-2024 Spirit Gear Orders have opened! If you are interested in attending Fall Rally North, we highly recommend that you order spirit gear (or at least a t-shirt). Divisions from all across Northern California will be wearing their own spirit gear, so order spirit gear to show your purple penguin spirit!
Spirit gear orders will close this week, so make sure to contact your club president ASAP if you are interested in ordering spirit gear!
Spirit Committee
With FRN coming up soon, our 2023-2024 Spirit Committee Applications have opened! Are you energetic, passionate about FRN, or just looking to become more involved in Key Club? Join the D34S Spirit Committee to help create and teach our FRN cheers, gain leadership skills, and meet new people within the division.
ANYONE can join the committee, so get your applications in now through this Google Form! The official deadline is September 16th, but fill it out ASAP so we have time to create cheers. If you have any questions, reach out to our Spirit Coordinators Joey or Jeff. We can’t wait to read your applications :)
August Events Recap
Thank you so much to everyone who attended our August DCM and August DWS! We had a great time working on club rush materials at the DCM and gardening at the DWS. Pictures from both events are available in the 2023-2024 D34S Photo Album.
Region Training Conference
Attention all Penguins!! You have all been selected to compete in this year’s HungeRTC Games! Represent your division in the arena through service activities, spirit, and training. Make alliances across and beyond the region!
To accommodate for the cost of the campsite, t-shirts, lodging, food, and more, the set prices for registration will be $115 (on-time) and $130 (late). Please make sure to register in advance to ensure all necessary paperwork and payments are submitted by the on-time deadline (9/18)—the price will increase after this deadline.
Contact your club presidents if you are interested in attending, and feel free to contact your local sponsoring Kiwanis to help sponsor your trip! Registration forms can be found at tinyurl.com/2023RTCForms.
Fall Rally North
Fall Rally North is coming up next month! If you don't already know, Fall Rally North is an annual event in which half of the divisions in our district (California-Nevada-Hawaii) come together to celebrate the funds we raised the previous term for the Pediatric Trauma Program. Check out this recap video and these photos from last year to learn more about what the event is like!
This year, Fall Rally North is Saturday, October 21st at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California. This event is open to all members, so if you are interested in attending please contact your club president ASAP!
2023-24 Servetember Challenge
SERVEtember is an ongoing, month-long initiative during the month of September. It promotes and encourages service and the recognition of members in the Cal-Nev-Ha District. To get involved, clubs and their members throughout the District are encouraged to complete a task-filled bucket list that focuses on service, increasing involvement with the Kiwanis family, raising funds for the Pediatric Trauma Program, and participating in the Spotlight on Service Program.
Servetember is a great way to gain district recognition and promote service to your new members! If you have any questions, feel free contact me or our Service Projects Coordinators Jazlyn and Jemma :)
