Assume this is casual. Meaning no coats/ties?

Bragg, I don't think I had EVER gone back "on base" since then. Well, last week on my most recent visit, I decided to drop by the old digs of the 1/320th to check it out.

>Wow! For those not back there in awhile, you are in for seeing big changes. The road network is very different, and I had trouble finding "home". Seeking landmarks to guide me and a fuzzy memory, I entered Bragg via the checkpoint on the All American Parkway, which was still in the planning stages in 1975. I found Huber Road and the gas station (where we waited in long lines in 1974) at the corner of Reilly Road (now one way only). Going west (?), I looked for the old 3 story concrete barracks/headquarters which obviously were no longer there. In fact, I found the geography only because the motor pools are still where they always were. Anyway, instead of the old buildings, there is a new "city" being built, with clusters of 8-10 story brick "barracks" and complexes of other amenities. I think the only building still standing from the 70's was the old York theater.

My game ain't what I was a few years ago, but I still keep the hdcp in single digits so maybe the next time we come up to see the mother-in-law we can get together.

Between all the combat sports of the Gunfighter, rugby and our Saturday morning football games, not too mention a few reckless bachelor/promotion parties and prop blasts, its a wonder we all survived being "sick, lame and lazy! Airborne crazy!"
