The 70's Era 1/320th FA Officers Reunion is scheduled for 26-27 May, 2010.

Details:

 

1.  Register  For the Reunion Online (for rough numbers).  Note that this DOES NOT RESERVE YOU A ROOM (see 2 below) or PAY FOR THE DINNER (see 3 below).

2. Make your own room reservations:

Hotel: Holiday Inn Bordeaux, 1707 Owen Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28304

 

The cost of the rooms is $80 per night (single and double rate).  As I recall the total cost with tax and fees is about $90.    When making reservations, please inform the hotel you are a member of the 1/320th Field Artillery Airborne Reunion.  Rooms can be reserved by calling 1-800-325-0211 or 910-323-0111 to make your reservations. Room Reservations must be received no later than Sunday, April 25, 2010 or you may not be able to secure a room.  Rooms not canceled by 6 p.m. on the day of arrival will be charged to the individual’s credit card. Check in time is 3 p.m. and check out time is 11 a.m.

3.  Pay for the DINNER (Menu) –

 

 

The reunion dinner will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 (1800-1830 Fire Mission - Happy Half-Hour at Restaurant Bar - 1830 Fire for Effect - Meal Served ) at the Hilltop House, 1240 Fort Bragg Road, Fayetteville, NC 28305 Tel: (910) 484-6699 Fax:(910) 323-9406, Website is here.  

 

The cost will be $37.50 per person, which includes the meal, dessert, tax, and gratuity. I would note, however, that this does not include alcoholic beverages ordered at the bar prior to the dinner or during the dinner.

 

Attendees planning to attend the dinner complete the attached reservation form and mail it along with a check to:

No later than April 25th.  Included on the form is the attendee’s email address, which we be used to email back a receipt (to supplement the emails we already have).

 

4.  Tentative Schedule

Darl Champion is meeting with Burt VanderClute, Ron Stelmasczyk, and Gary Steimle in the next week to work out the details of the G-3 briefing, golf outing, Airborne and Special Operations Museum tour, and any other activities.  If you have any ideas for other activities, let Darl know.

 

Tuesday 25 May  - arrivals in the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg area - Happy Hour at the Hotel Bar TBA.

Wednesday 26 May - Activities TBA

Thursday 27 May - Activities TBA and Dinner at 1800

Friday 28 May - Golf Tournament TBA

You guys plan on staying the whole time with us, including Friday night.  Regardless of how early we get done with golf, you will be too old, tired, drunk (or all of the above) to get behind a wheel.  ;)

 

I’m taking the whole week off so I can attend everything.  I’ll even do all the driving down here.  Just what we need down here…one more “seasoned” citizen on the roads.  ;))

Rodger, Frank, organizers et al! I currently work for Northrop Grumman training Peacekeepers in Africa. I am scheduled to be in Benin from 15 April-19 May, however there is a chance that they may throw another Battalion on top of the one I am scheduled to train and so I may be delayed getting home until June. I hope to know before the deadline of the sign-up for the dinner. Hotels are not an issue for me as my bride of 32 years is from Fayetteville and we will just stay with family. Good Lord willing we plan to participate in all activities, to include golf, but may need some flexibility if I get a late notification after the 29 April deadline that I can't make it. Do you have any flex on that kind of an issue or is the banquet money gone once we send it in?
