Hi
For the Nationals we will be weighing all boats.
Also, please ensure you have bands on your spars as per the rules:
b. Contrasting coloured bands at least 10mm in width shall be painted on the masts and the distance between the lower edge of the top band and the upper edge of the lower band shall not exceed 5664mm. The distance between the deck and the upper edge of the lower band shall not exceed 505mm . The sail shall be set so that the highest visible point of it, projected at 90° to the mast spar, shall not be higher than the upper point . A device to ensure compliance with this rule shall be fitted if the mainsail halyard system itself does not do so.. The top edge of the boom (including track) or its extension shall not, when the sail is set, intersect the aft side of the mast (including track) lower than the top edge of the lower band.
b. A contrasting coloured band at least 10mm in width shall be painted on the boom, the inner edge of which shall not be more than 2235mm aft of the aft face of the mast (including track) measured along the line of the boom when the boom is in sailing position. The leech of the sail, extended as necessary, shall intersect the upper edge of the boom forward of the boom outer limit mark.
We will accept taped bands for the contest.
You also need to have some means of securing your centreboard so it remains in the case if you capsize. This is not only a YNZ safety requirement but it is only fair to those volunteers manning rescue boats.
We also reserve the right to measure any boats if there is reason to do so.
