Dear brothers and sisters,

Thanks for your prayers and encourgements  !

Men-Ping and I really felt your love, and knew that we are not alone for this battle :)

My mom's health has been improved when we visited her today.

Her temperature dropped to 98F from 101F, and her fever is gone today.

She is more alert than yesterday, opened her eyes widely to people and participated in swallow test

even she still failed this test, but the lady in hospital is willing to give my mom another try tomorrow,

since she has participated in this test today.

Please continue to pray for my mom, and hope she can speak soon and pass swallow test tomorrw afternoon.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Thanks for your care and prayer for my mom !

 

Here is the update for my mom's status:

My mom could drink ice water but she couldn't swallow apple sauce thus didn't pass swallow test on Thursday.

Her doctor told me that her swallow issue may have something to do with the dementia (i.e. losing nerve cells in brain at old age).

Besides, her fever is still up and down everyday, yesterday was down to 97.7F but it rose to 101F today.

And doctor could not figure out the source of infection even given anti-biotic for whole body.

And because of her fever, she was sleeping most of time today.

Please pray for her speedy recovery so she can start to eat before being discharged by hospital.

Or, may God shortens her days of pain, so she can rest in the Lord with peace.

Otherwise, I would be forced to make difficult decision for her, for she can't stay in hospital for too long.

Peter,

I know it's very difficult for you.  After I read your letter, I felt for you.  But trust Him for He has the best plan.  Continue to pray for you. 

Remember:  In His time.....

The life we have does not belong to us and He is in control.  In His Words:  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? (Matt.  6:27).  I believe the reverse is true for this verse:  Who of you by worrying can take away a single hour to his life?  Why?  Because our life belongs to Him and He cares and provides.

Peter, I can understand how much you love your mother.  You don't want to see her suffers.  I think God knows how much you love her.  God knows your limits.  God knows when is the best time for all.  Just try to trust and obey and I will continue to pray for peace in your heart.

Dear brothers and sisters:

 My mom has rested in the Lord peacefully in hospital at 4:50 AM this morning !

Even many of us really hoped that God would heal my mom miraculously when prayed,

but God answered our other prayer by shortening her days of pains.

 

Men-Ping and I had peace when we went to hospital to face this change this morning.

 

Thanks for your prayers and encouragements to sustain us for this battle !

There are no words that I can use to express the depth of my sympathy and sorrow for your loss.
