Please pray for 7-year-old Maya Praja from our children's home in Parshadhap. Little Maya was rushed to Kathmandu this week after being diagnosed with Rheumatic Heart Disease. The doctor in Chitwan suspects that there has already been some heart-valve damage.
When we received word that Maya was in the hospital in Chitwan, we asked Sharon, James, and Munna to arrange for her to be brought immediately to "Gangalal Heart Hospital" in Kathmandu. This is clean hospital specializing in heart disease and one of the best in the country. Maya has now been seen by a pediatrician there. We are awaiting the results of tests to find out the extent of her illness. Sharon has reported that she is doing well.

Here is a note that we received earlier today from Sharon....
Dear Bob and Bobbie
Jaimasih.
We met the doctor today. She is a nice lady and she has done several tests-urine, blood, EKG and Eco. For Eco we have to take her tomorrow. She thinks there is some problem in the kidney also. If so then she will refer us to some other place. I asked her about the Rheumatic Heart but she told us she wants to see the test results tomorrow and she told us she doesn't need to stay in the hospital. She found out her stomach is also a little bit swollen.
Maya is fine and she liked Kathmandu very much. She is asking questions and talks to every body. We will take her tomorrow again.
Love, Sharon
We appreciate your prayers and will keep you posted.
Love,
Bob and Bobbie
