I don't think Israel is an apartheid state. But you do get a lot of pumped up orthodox who belittle people outside of their ranks, and casts slurs on non-jewish people from time to time. They are known to call non jews 'Behemahs' or animals. They do use this slur. There is some bigotry in elements of the Israelite population. Fortunately, I don't really think it's the majority of them. But that 'We are the Chosen People' mentality sits strong with the Jews. All mankind knows that about the Israelite people - they get up themselves a bit with the way they feel they are God's gift to humanity. They've invented a lot of things, but they've been well rewarded and well paid for all of that. The Jewish man Jesus of Nazareth introduced a lot of charity concerns to much of mankind. He championed that idea a fair bit and the church does a lot of that. They are actually supposed to be a nation and kingdom of priests (Exodus 19). Priests are supposed to be spiritual and religious people. Sometimes they are not always that likeable. Sometimes they are persecuted a lot. Sometimes they give out a lot of crap towards muslims. They sure as hell take a lot back in return. Yeh, they are not really my cup of tea, though I am Karaite in faith, but Noahide in observance. I've known and met some jewish people in life - in reality they act like Catholics and older Protestant Christians. Very similar mentality to Christians in old churches. Sort of settled people quite a bit.
