Are you a digital/ICT project manager or a technical analyst with interests in culture, audiovisual technologies and digital preservation looking for your next work gig?  


The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) is Australia’s audiovisual cultural institution and we have two contract positions open!  


The NFSA’s wealth of stories will be increasingly available across the country, and on demand as set out in NFSA Strategic Direction 2022-25.  Come and work in the Digital branch, we design, build and maintain the digital infrastructure and public facing experiences that provide innovative ways to manage, maintain, analyse, discover, and engage with the NFSA’s audiovisual collection.

NFSA Role: Digital Project Manager 

Job Number: 89776

Salary: $107,660 - $115,154

Job Type: Contract (18 months, with possible extension) 

Location: Canberra, Australia

The Digital Project Manager will have sound project management, planning, and communication skills, as well as good attention to detail, to manage and coordinate conflicting priorities and deliver projects within deadlines. You will be a collaborator who is results focused with the proven ability to successfully deliver digital content and experiences. You will be required to work collaboratively with NFSA staff, external vendors and creative talent.

  • Do you have sound systems & software design and strong technical & analytical skills to deliver technical documentation, advice and recommendations?


The Technical Analyst will work alongside a team of technical specialists and managers and support multi departmental technical requirements definition and management, systems and software design, feasibility assessment, and process improvement. They will take on analytical and requirements coordination tasks in business-as-usual and project activities, support collaborative opportunities between the Digital branch and internal and external stakeholders, and provide documentation and solution design support to the project operations of the Program Management Office.
