Hi all,

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our interdisciplinary project "Climate discourse: Linking public discourse on climate extremes to political action" at Leipzig University! This is a 3-year position where you'll investigate how climate discourse and climate action are (or aren’t!) connected—leveraging NLP and large language models.

What you'll do:

Analyze large-scale textual data from media, social media, and political debates on climate change
Develop and apply machine learning models for NLP tasks
Integrate social science theories to interpret discourse dynamics
Publish in top journals & present at international conferences
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of social scientists, climate researchers, and computer scientists
